She was born November 28, 1947, the daughter of the late Henry Charles Wilkerson and Doris Elizabeth Moore. She is survived by her hus- band, Al Eatmon; sister, Anne Cloer (and husband, Hal) of Wake County; brothers Chuck (and wife, Sylvia) and Chris; her daughters: Heather Horton (and husband, Scot Horton) of Polkville, and Amy Bolton (and husband, Jerrod Bolton), also of Polkville; and six grandchildren. WILLIAM HEYWARD MASTERS William "Bill" Heyward Masters, age 94, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Born on December 16, 1927, he was the son of the late William Earple Masters and Ella Mae Roberts Masters. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Stegall Masters and his brother, Harold Masters. Mr. Masters served our country in the U.S. Army. Bill is survived by his sister, Montez Masters Smith. A funeral service with full military honors was held June 28, 2022 at the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. David Webb officiating the GERALDINE BEAVER MELTON Geraldine Beaver Melton, 84, of Mooresboro, passed away on June 28, 2022. She was born March 3, 1938 to the late Everette and Lillian Beaver of Shelby. In addition to her parents and her husband, Don, she was preceded in death by her son, Gene Melton; brother, Larry Beaver; brother, Danny Beaver; sister, Brenda Clark; and brother, Jerry Beaver. Mrs. Melton is survived by her son, David Melton, and wife, Susan, of Shelby; two grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; sister, Judy Hamlet of Shelby; and sister, Kathy McCraw and husband, Brian, of Shelby. A memorial service was held June 30, 2022 in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Tim Hendrick and Rev. Dr. Tony McCraw officiating. A private burial was held at Cleveland Memorial Park. MARTHA RAYE CROCKER PORTER Martha Raye Crocker Porter, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. She was born in Cleveland County on November 9, 1937, and was the daughter of the late James B. Crocker and Myrtle Harris Crocker. In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Porter, her daughters Patsy Norman and Kathy Gamble; seven service. He was born January 26, 1950 to the late Clarence Grady McDaniel. Reid is pre- ceded in death by his son, Richard McDaniel and his brothers, Eugene and Dale McDaniel. He is survived by his wife, Ester Thompson McDaniel, his mother, Clover Ethel Elliot McDaniel, and sis- ter, Beatrice Bright; three sons, Adam Dalton, Travis McDaniel, Steven McDaniel; and a grandson. JAMES ROGER BARNETTE James Roger Barnette, 79, of Shelby, NC passed away on June 27, 2022. He was born on June 28, 1942 in Winder, GA. Jim is survived by his wife, Sharon Barnette, and their three children and eight grandchildren. They are: daughter, Sherry Grenier of Shelby, NC, her husband Chris; son, Roger Barnette of Atlanta, GA, his wife Christina; and daughter, Paige Stock of Concord, NC, her husband Alex. In addition to her mother, Julie is survived by her two sisters, Elena Carver (Doug) and Priscilla Stockton, two brothers Charles Thomas "Tommy" Stockton (Angie) and Samuel "Sam" Joseph Stockton (Stacey); step-sis- ter, Kellie Fender (Johnny), and step-brother, Eric Taylor (Sherry). In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius "Neek" Cornelius Deviney; three brothers, James, Ben and Gene Morrison and five sisters, Ethel Howell, Emaleen Mauney, Kathleen Panther, Ruby Morrison and Daphine Mistrot. Survivors include a son, Tommy Deviney and wife, Anarah of Kings Mountain; daughter, Debbie Ward and husband, Randy of Lawndale; two grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; three great- great grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris Sparks and Phyllis Morrison both of Lawndale.
