By Jean Gordon Martha Jean McFarland — Secretary at Florence Baptist Church for 39 and one half years. I had a good group of people to work with. I always liked thinking maybe I was helping. Debbie Womick — First grade teacher at Ellenboro Elementary School all of my career. I loved seeing little children grow and learn to read, to be a small part of their lives. Joe Freeman — Selling cars for Charles Watkins. Best part time job- driving the transit van (Rutherford County Transit Van). Chester Melton — Construction job at Isothermal. (He helped many students begin a career in the construction business). Barbara Freeman — My 30 years at R-S Cen- tral. I loved the principal, I loved the kids and I loved the subject. What's not to love about that? Keith Melton — Clerk of Court (more than 20 years). I worked with the best people in Rutherford County, the best in the world.
