A-4 Wednesday, July 13, 2022 The Press-Dispatch 50th Wedding Anniversary Jerr y and Loreli (Craig) Yon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversar y with a party given by their sons, Brooks (Jana) Yon and Christopher (Chelsea) Yon, Friday, July 8, at the Gasthof in Montgomer y. The Yons were married Friday, July 14, 1972 at the First Baptist Church in Pe- tersburg, by Pastor Harold Bailey. Mr. Yon graduated in 1968, Aiken High School, Aiken, S.C. He attended Aiken Tech School and ser ved in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reser ves. He worked at Old Ben Coal No. 2 for 30 years and after it closed he worked at CCC Group in Florida and Colum- bia for four years. He was also the owner of Yon Elec- tric, LLC (D&J Electric) for many years. Mrs. Yon graduated from Petersburg High School in 1971 and attended Oakland City College. She worked at Double Play, in Peters- burg with Mr. Yon for seven years. She also retired from Walmart after 20 years as an optician. They attend the Peters- burg First Baptist Church. They have two sons, Brooks and Christopher and their grandchildren, Zeke, Lucy, Daxyn and Kaebri Yon, all of Petersburg. 60th wedding anniversary Jim and Nancy (Whitelock) Bolte of Newburgh celebrat- ed their 60th Diamond wed- ding anniversar y on July 7, with a family trip to French Lick Resort. They were mar- ried July 7, 1962 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Petersburg by Father Strange. They are blessed with the following family: Christine Oxley and husband L yle, of Newburgh. Kim Ciukowski and husband Alan, of Knox- ville, Tennessee. Grandchil- dren: Luke and Kayla Oxley, of Newburgh, and David Ciukowski, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Deputies Kane Osgatharp and Sgt. Jared Simmons re- por ted in the early evening of July 9 the couple had quar reled and the next day Thor ne told Hensley they were through and to leave. The repor t states Hens- ley didn't mean to scratch Thor ne and that he had not touched her. Helsley was handcuffed and transported to the Pike Coun- ty jail with charges of domes- tic batter y.
