The Neal Center is happy to announce Smart Phones & Seniors Please help the Neal Senior Center with their Lunchbox Ministries program! The Neal Senior Center serves 143 participants in the "Meals-On-Wheels" pro- gram four days a week with a hot meal. Naturally, we need food every day, so what do the "Meals-On-Wheels" participants do on days when no meal delivery takes place? This is where the "Lunchbox Ministries" program steps in! Each week, volunteers prepare bags of food items to give to the MOW partic- ipants each Thursday. This provides enough food for Friday and the weekend when the MOW program isn't operating. However, we need enough food items to serve our 143 participants. If you, your church group, your club or civic organization would like to help, we need 143 units each of the following items: • Breakfast Bars (soft type) • Lance Crackers • 18 oz. jars of Peanut Butter • Individual bottles of fruit juice or juice packs Any amounts are appreciated, but to make gathering 143 units of any item easier, consider asking one or more groups or organizations to help you work in achieving the full count. To arrange to have your donation received or if you have questions, please reach out to Heather Ledbetter, Neal Senior Center Nutrition Coordinator, at 704/481-7390.
