The center will serve Early Head Start children from ages 6 weeks to 3 years, said a spokesperson at WNCSource in Hendersonville. The Early Head Start facility will include three classrooms with a maximum of eight children in each class for a total of 24. It is not affi liated with Rutherford County Schools. Whether we always notice them or not, trees are a part of every famous view at Chimney Rock. For our summer photo contest, get creative by shooting "Trees with a View." Maybe you'll spot a poplar overlooking a view of Lake Lure or a majestic maple on the Skyline Trail. Send us your best captures and the top three will be awarded fun prizes! The contest begins July 1st and runs through August 31st. W h e t h e r you're involved in a crash or e x p e r i e n c i n g a breakdown, you should always follow these safety tips when having to pull over on a highway. • Move your vehicle completely onto the shoulder of the road when it is safe to do so; • Exit the vehicle by the passenger side, away from the fl ow of traffi c, and do not allow passengers to remain in the vehicle; • Stand off the road and away from the vehicle; and • If it's dark, turn on the parking lights or emergency fl ashers. • Remember to never attempt or make repairs to a vehicle while it is in an area exposed to traffi c.
