Eligible or- ganizations include 501(c)(3) nonprofi t organizations, congregations, govern- mental and educational institutions. Grants will be awarded in support of a broad range of charitable purposes, but priority will be given to include human services projects and programs that address basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing, that help families achieve fi nancial stability, and that help individuals overcome life obstacles to become productive members of society. Priority will also be given to education initiatives, especially those that focus on fi nancial literacy for adults and youth, youth mentoring, and character development. Award amounts will be determined based on the merits of the proposed project. Previous awards have ranged from $1,000 to $5,000, but the Foundation will consider awards up to $5,000. To begin the application process, visit fftcgrants.communi- tyforce.com and select "Cleveland County Community Foun- dation" to access the online application. Returning applicant organizations can log in to the Online Grants Center using their previously established ID and password. First-time ap- plicant organizations can create a new account. Completed applications must be submitted by noon Friday, July 8. The online application closes promptly at 12 p.m. and will not accept late submissions.
