Among its services, it provides information on ways to prevent becoming a victim and how to identify potential abusers. Its mission is to promote the dignity, independence and quality of life for seniors through advocacy, information, programs and services. marinhhs.org/ boards/commission-aging CONNECTIONS Front Porch Covia and Front Porch merged in 2021 and are now operating as Front Porch. Among the new entity's services is Well Connected, a virtual community that offers group conversations, games and education on the phone or online. Home Match connects people who have extra rooms in their homes with individuals who are looking for afford- able living options. 925-956-7400, covia.org/programs LITA Volunteers from Love is the Answer visit elders in long-term-care facilities so they won't be lonely and isolated. It also offers virtual visits to Marin County Parks and images of the Bay Area for seniors to color. 415-472-5482, litam- arin.org Telephone Reassurance Program The San Rafael Police Department offers a free telephone check-in for elders. Trained volunteers call regis- tered users three times a week with a friendly greeting and a check to see how they're doing. Police will follow up with a welfare check if they don't answer.
