SUMMER PROGRAMS ON LBI
On most days all summer long, ALO's environmen-
talists offer a variety of programs for children and
adults about some of the important ecological
issues affecting Barnegat Bay including Eco-Kayak
Tours, Sea Critter Round-up Seining, and Puppet
Theater. They also sponsor the LBI Longboard
Surfing Classic on August 13 (no wave date

TOURS IN BARNEGAT LIGHT
An overview of commercial fishing and fisheries
management at Viking Village. The free tour dis-
cusses three main fisheries: scalloping, gillnetting,
and long lining. Visitors get to see their facility
in operation, along with a fresh display of their
