Randy and Christina McKinney, Ben and Jennifer Cabaniss with Laughlin Furniture, John and Kim Laughlin, Roger Turner, Donna Barringer with Carolina Federal Credit Union, Billy and Beth McCoy and board members Ken and Cindy Ragan. We also had a special guest who is a living kidney donor, Mollie Swink and her husband William. Also a heart transplant recipient, Kilby Davis and her father Trent. We were able to give away monies raised from our golf tournament which our title sponsor was Randy and Christina McKinney from Erie Insurance and CRM Insurance Services Incorp.. We gave a check for $3500.00 to Kate McCullough from LifeShare Carolinas who is the organ procurement group for our area. We gave a check for $3500.00 to Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association, a check for $3500.00 to Donate Life, and a check for $500.00 to Make A Wish Foundation. In total we gave $11,000.00 to four of our non-profi t organizations that we support, not counting the more than $5000.00 we have given to individuals this year who are in need of a transplant or have had a transplant. Sunday, May 29 Sunday, May 29 What: Veterans Memorial Day Service When: 2:00 pm, May 29. Where: Cleveland Memorial Park, 1225 College Ave., Shelby, NC. (near Boiling Springs, NC.) More Info:. Sponsored by the CC Veterans Service Offi ce and CC Veterans Advisory Council, this public event will honor United States deceased veterans who served in all wars. During this annual service, the public will be given the opportunity to share their deceased veterans name. All are welcome to attend this outdoor event. Please bring a lawn chair, as seating is limited. In the event of rain, the service will be held in the mausoleum.
