Deputy Buck Seger filed a probable cause for an ar- rest warrant for escape: fail- ure to return to lawful deten- tion, when the Pike County Jail Commander Brian Max- well informed the court that Boner failed to report. Field charged with trespass, unlawful surveillance By James Capozella Derick Eugene Field, 49, 3841 S Monroe City Road, Monroe City, was charged with Criminal Trespass and unlawful photography and surveillance on private property last Sunday after an investigation into a com- plaint by Brandi Gladish at 3896 E SR 356. Pike County Sheriff Dep- uty Buck Seger spoke with Gladish and examined a trail camera that had been placed in a bush on her property. It was discovered that pictures of Gladish's ex-husband, Der- ick Field, his property and her property were on the camera. Gladish believes that Field was spying on her and placed the camera on her property. Seger was unable to contact Field and requested a warrant for criminal trespass and un- lawful photography and sur- veillance on private property. Two escape serious injury in head-on collision Two men escaped serious injury last Wednesday on Highway 61 near Coe at about 5:30 a.m. when their vehicles collided. Indiana State Trooper Bryce Manning said Jason Mayerholtz, 43, of 6652 E. CR 1150 S, Stendal was driv- ing south on Highway 61 in a 2007 Toyota Corolla when James W. Lynn, 59, of 7070 S SR61, Winslow attempted to pull from his driveway in a 2001 Pontiac Montana. Trooper Manning said both vehicles went off the road and Lynn drove through a chain link fence after the collision. Neither were injured. Mey- erholtz' vehicle was towed and Lynn was able to drive his back into his driveway. Two arrested for OVWI over weekend By James Capozella Traffic stops in Winslow on Saturday evening and then early Sunday morning re- sulted in OV WI arrests for a Winslow man and then an Ot- well man. Stephen Cory Whitehead, 51, 5741 S SR 61, Winslow was arrested by Winslow Deputy Marshal James T. Harrington following a traffic stop for driv- ing left of center after his 2011 Land Rover nearly drove onto the sidewalk in front of Town Hall, according to the report. Whitehead was stopped on Cherry Street where Har- rington administered a series of standard field sobriety tests which Whitehead failed on all four. Schell Towing transport- ed the vehicle, Deputy Briar Meadors assisted and Deputy Bryce Manning administered the certified chemical test at the Pike County Jail. Just after midnight on Sun- day, Deputy Marshal Har- rington stopped a 2002 Sono- ma pickup operated by Jase Edward Lofton Tryon, 21, 9234 E CR 550 N, Otwell, when he saw that the license plate lights were not working. While parked at the parking lot of the former Fish Hut restaurant, Tryon said he was aware the license plate lights were out according to the report. Officer Harrington noted that Tryon had glassy, red, and watery eyes and his pu- pils were dilated. He also ob- served an open carton of beer in the front passenger's floor- board, according to the report. A fter admitting to having had two or three beers, field sobriety tests were given and Tryon failed two of four. A chemical blood test at Da- viess County Hospital indi- cated a BAC 0.112. Tryon was arrested for OV WI and taken the Pike County Jail. Elenbaas charged with invasion of privacy By James Capozella A Washington man was ar- rested by Petersburg Police Corporal Scott Arnold after dispatch sent him to investi- gate an incident at 800 N Lib- erty Ave. at 9 p.m. on Thurs- day. Shane Michael Elenbaas, 35, 208 Indiana Ave., Wash- ington, was arrested for inva- sion of privacy after Arnold found Elenbaas intoxicated and not complying with offi- cers responding to the call. Officer Zach Loveless, Troopers Dustin Stein and CJ Boeckman became involved when Elenbaas was report- ed to be fighting with Kaylee Hill in front of children. Troop- er Boeckman talked with Hill in her vehicle and told Arnold that they were leaving be- cause of the death of a grand- mother. Arnold contacted Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attor- ney Sarah Christianson and found that Elenbaas had a no contact order. Reserve officer Ryan Ben- ner told Arnold that a wallet belonging to Elenbaas had been found by Chelsea Parks at 640 N 5th Street on her property, and she did not want Elenbaas trespassing. Arnold contacted Chief Deputy Dal- las Killian and they went to talk with Elenbaas, accord- ing to the report. When they arrived at 800 Liberty Apartments, they saw Elenbaas walking toward Kaylee's apartment. Officers told Elenbaas he was under ar- rest for trespass at 640 N 5th Street and was transported to the Pike County Jail. Figueroa charged in wrong way crash By James Capozella A wrong way driver on In- terstate 69 who caused a crash on December 19, 2021, that in- jured an Evansville woman at the 49 -mile marker was re- cently arrested. Gerardo Figueroa, 18, 817 Burr Oaks Dr, #303, West Chicago, Ill., was charged on May 4 with operator never li- censed, and criminal reckless- ness-armed with deadly weap- on following December 2021 subpoenaed records and at- tempts to contact Figueroa by Pike County Sheriff's Deputy Bryce Manning. The warrant request for Figueroa includes informa- tion that the Honda he was driving is totaled and still at Myers Towing. An April 27 subpoena for Figueroa's employer, MSI Strategic Staffing, turned up his records such as social se- curity number, address and date of birth.
