Wood Memorial shot a 181 to the Chargers' 184. Lucas Gress, of Wood Memorial, was the medalist with a 42. He led the Trojans whose scores were Reese Mor- ton at 43; Dylan Buck at 45; and Ma- son at 51. Pike Central's 184 was an off day for several players. Arri McDonald had a 43 for the Chargers low score. He had broken 40 three straight matches pri- or to Monday. Peyton Howald shot 46 after shoot- ing a 41 last week. Tyler Craig posted a 47 and Cobey McKinney had a 48 for the Chargers 184. However Lucas Taylor posted a per- sonal best with a 41, but wasn't in the six varsity players. In high school golf, the four lowest scores of six predes- ignated players counts for the team score in a dual meet. "It is really tough picking the top six, I kicked myself for not putting Lucas in the lineup last night. I hope our top five becomes a little more clear within the next couple weeks. We were just a little off last night, but we are getting better as a team for sure," said Coach Jarrod Gideon. Making it diffi- cult for Gideon, is he has eight young players, who are quickly improving. On any given day, seven of them might shot 41 or 54. Forest Park won the match with their top four players closely spaced being 39, 41, 42 and 43, for their team 165. "Arri continues to play well, we are getting better and more consistent as a team, and think we haven't nearly reached our potential yet. I think there are a lot of big moments ahead in the next few years for this group," said Gideon. Lady Chargers fall to Patriots By Andy Heuring Pike Central fell 1-4 to Heritage Hills on Tuesday night in tennis.
