COMMUNITY CHAMPION. BELOVED COLLEAGUE. GENEROUS FRIEND. 1941 - 2021 Celebrating Joan Capurro Well-known for her colorful collection of hats, Joan also wore many hats as a banker, community leader, board member, devoted wife, aunt and friend. For more than 25 years at Bank of Marin, Joan dedicated her boundless energy into serving others, especially the nonprofit community across Marin. Her work and leadership was recognized by the Marin County Board of Supervisors, the Marin's Women Hall of Fame, the 100 Faces of Marin, the American Cancer Society of Marin, and the Spirit of Marin. Joan leaves a legacy of giving back and she inspires us to pay it forward. Joan lent out her hats like she lent a hand, saying "wear it and share it in good health." "Home is where you hang your hat." For Joan Capurro, that home was Marin. Accepting the 2018 Spirit of Marin Lifetime Achievement Award. L-R, Brian Sobel, Bank of Marin Chairman of the Board of Directors, Joan Capurro, Russell A. Colombo, Retired CEO, Bank of Marin.
