"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the oth- er! So, because you are luke- warm—neither hot nor cold— I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretch- ed, pitiful, poor, blind and na- ked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am. I stand at the door and knock. If any- one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me" (Revelation 3:15 -20, NIV ). Joe Henson, Pastor Matt Haycraft, Reporter may God Bless all of you. Continued from last week, starting with number seven. There are twelve things that satan might say to his de- mons if they were at a confer- ence together from, "David Jeremiah." I wrote them down thinking they might be something good to pass on to you. Remember satan is the great deceiver and this is how he would carry out his intervention plan. 7-Flood their mailboxes with sweepstakes, and pro- motions, and get rich quick schemes, to keep them chas- ing material things. 8 -Put glamorous models on their T V's and magazine cov- ers to keep them focused on outward appearances; that way they will be dissatisfied with themselves and their mate. 9 -Make sure that couples are to exhausted for physical intimacy; that way they'll be tempted to look elsewhere. 10 -Emphasize Santa and the Easter bunny; that way you'll divert them from the re- al meaning of Christmas and Easter. 11-Involve them in good causes so they won't have time for eternal causes. 12-Make them self-suffi- cient, keep them busy working in their own strength so they never know the joy of God's power through them. They did eat, they drank, they mar- ried wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all" (Luke 17:26 -29). Jesus chose two men from the Old Testament to describe examples of how things would be upon his return. Both men had a lifetime to influence their families. One man was able to save his entire family and the other barely escaped with his own life and only res- cued two daughters. The one that was able to save his whole family was able to do so be- cause he lived a life with a sin- gular focus. He spent his life believing and obeying God. The other spent his life vex- ing his own soul. Our choic- es as fathers have far reach- ing consequences.
