Born In Greensboro, NC, she was the widow of Robert Gene Blanton, and the daughter of late P.A Brantley and Donnie Mae Campbell Brantley. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, John Adam Blanton; her brother, Paul Adam Brantley; and sister, Dorothy Bridges. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Blanton; son, Robert Blanton and wife Shirley; four grandchildren; her three great grandchildren; and sisters, Juanita Philbeck, and Edna Greene. Funeral Services were held February 23, 2022, at Westwood Heights Baptist Church with Rev. David Costner officiating. Burial fol- lowed in Cleveland Memorial Park. Clay-Barnette Funeral Home & Aquamation Center is serv- ing the family. Sid was born in 1934 in Hookerton, NC, to the late Sidney Stern Dixon and Marjorie Floyd Dixon. A native of Cleveland Co., she was born to the late Lawrence and Vina Weathers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Yates Hawkins; sisters, Lola Humphries and Lala Young; and brothers, Roy and Edgar Weathers. Ruth is survived by her son, Gary Hawkins; daughter, Rita Harris and husband Kenny of Shelby; three granddaugh- ters; and nine great grand- children. Born in Jonesville on June 15th, 1946, he was the son of the late George and Molly Scates Moss. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Louise Moss; sister-in-law, Jessie Mae Moss; and two broth- ers-in-law, Bobby Mills and Hennies Hames. Jimmy is survived by a brother, William Lewis Moss of Gaffney; four sisters, Joyce Mills and Doris Dover (Charlie) of Gaffney, Virginia Moss (Loyd) of Blacksburg and Cheryl Moss (Jack) of Pacolet. Graveside Services were held February 19, 2022, in the Rehoboth Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Don Paris officiating. DAISY LEE HAMRICK-WYLIE Daisy Lee Hamrick-Wylie, 85, of Shelby, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 14, 2022. Daisy was born in Mooresboro, NC on July 10th, 1936, to parents Buren and Grace Hamrick. Daisy is preceded in death by her son, Chris; her parents, Buren and Grace Hamrick; brother, Joe Hamrick; and two sisters Elsie Dixon and Louise Harris. She is survived by her hus- band, Paul; her son, Todd; three grandchildren; two brothers Charles and Jimmy Hamrick; and a sister Evelyn Walker. Services were held February 17, 2022 in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church downtown Shelby. The procession fol- lowed at Cleveland Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, NC. The family has partnered with Cleveland Community College's Nursing Program to establish a scholarship fund in memorial of Daisy.
