The Daily Star, Oneonta, N.Y., Friday, February 18, 2022 20 By Dana Simpson TV Media Fright night: As anyone who's ever seen a paranormal reality show or well-made hor- ror movie can attest, there are some things that truly do ap- pear to go bump in the night — some even dare to do so during the day. In the new fea- ture-length documentary spe- cial "Trail to Terror," landing on discovery+ on Thursday, Feb. 24, a set of three familiar faces (and one new cameraman) embark on a journey to send shivers down even the warm- est of spines. Dakota Laden, his sister Chelsea and good friends Tan- ner Wiseman and Coalin Smith (the latter of whom took over filming from Alex Schroeder) are best known for their daring adventures into the unknown world of the paranormal in the Travel Channel show "Destina- tion Fear." Together, the group travels across the United States (and sometimes out of the country) to visit the most terri- fying locations that often boast a sordid and unseemly history. Having visited everywhere from Nevada State Prison to Loftus Hall in County Wexford, Ireland, the group of paranor- mally inclined young adults seek to push the boundaries of their fear in this documentary special. Headed off on a five- night tour of horrors, during which only Dakota has the dark details of each place until arrival, "Trail to Terror" sees their excursion devolve from a fun experiment into a real-life horror film. Beginning their trip in their usual RV, the Laden siblings and friends sleep overnight in all manner of haunted locales, each of which is to be dis- closed by Dakota as they near the moment of their arrival. Once they have arrived, how- ever, they'll be locked in the potentially haunted building until daylight breaks the next morning, filming each mo- ment of the way as they record audio and video of their scari- est, most psychologically har- rowing moments. realtalk Alex Schroeder, Chelsea Laden, Dakota Laden and Tanner Wiseman from "Destination Fear" B/The Pine Shop 6x7.5 Quality Finished & Unfinished Home Furnishings (Finishing Available) Oneonta's Oldest Home Furnishing Store Rockers & Gliders 15% off Desks 15% off Entertainment Centers 15% off
