Born in Burke County, on May 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Otis Ramsey and Flavia Chapman Ramsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Bradshaw and six brothers, Lee, Joseph, Millard, John, Fredrick and Bill Ramsey. Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Willis and husband, Larry of Lawndale and Tammy Bradshaw of Lawndale; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jack Ramsey, Jeanette Chapman (Fred), Don Ramsey and Geraldine Lail all of Morganton and Marlene Cooper (Jonas) of Valdese; sister-in-law, Ruby Ramsey of Glen Alpine; and brother- in-law, Wayne Bradshaw (Jane) of Lawndale. SYLVIA FRANCES DAVIS Sylvia Frances Davis, 93, of Blacksburg, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022. A native of Meddlesex County, MA, she was the daughter of the late William John Neal Cornelson and Sylvia Frances Corneliussen-Cornelson. She was predeceased by her husband, James Foster Davis. Cherishing her memory is son, Gary W. Davis of Blacksburg, SC. SARA JOYCE ELLIS SMITH Sara Joyce Ellis Smith, 82, of Lawndale, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Born in Cleveland County, on June 27, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Buren Trent Ellis and Etta Lee Dawson Ellis. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Leon Smith, Sr.; brother, Buddy Ellis; and three sisters, Mary Dellinger, Austine Chandler, and Betty Migett. She is survived by two sons, Leon Smith and wife Ginger of Lawndale, and Scott Smith and wife Teresa of Grover; daughter, Cindy Aguero and husband Al of Lawndale; eight grandchil- dren; twelve great-grandchil- dren and one great-great- grandchild. A celebration of life service was held February 2, 2022 at Pleasant City Church with the Rev. Bryan Glisson and Rev. Steve Waters officiat- ing. Born March 1, 1965 in Cleveland County, NC, Karen was the daughter of the late James McMurry and Thelma Lee Truelove McMurry and was preced- ed in death by a brother, Timothy McMurry.
