Post Road • Shelby 704-481-1788 "Settle In With Comfort" David Settle aserviceinc.com The Big Chill returns to Arts Council The Cleveland County Arts Council (CCAC) has a question for you: Do you feel lucky? If you do, then the CCAC wants you to know they are start- ing the new year off by giving you a chance to win $1,000, $2,500 or even $5,000! The Big Chill is returning to Cleveland County this year with lots of fun and the chance to win big! "This will be our very first Big Chill Reverse Raffle and Party," says Shearra Miller, CCAC executive director. "Only 250 tickets will be sold, so the chances to win are really good. "We're excited to put a new twist on a favorite community event," con- tinues Miller. "The Big Chill has been taking place for years, but this year we thought it would be fun to try some- thing different." This year participants will have two ticket options to purchase. Tickets to participate in the Reverse Raffle alone are $100, and purchasers don't have to be present to win. The second way to participate is by purchasing Reverse Raffle and VIP Party tickets together for $150. These tickets will enter participants into the raffle and also admit two people to the party for an evening of food, fun, music, silent auction, and the reverse raffle. The party and reverse raffle drawing will take place Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at the Arts Council, beginning at 7 p.m. The silent auction will include various items and experiences such as beach trips, pottery classes, a guided paddle trip down the Broad River, paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography sessions, and more. In addition to the food and silent auction, the party will also feature local musicians Omar Porter and Friends playing throughout the evening. Reverse Raffle tickets are available now at the Arts Council or from any of the members of the CCAC board of directors. Call 704-484-2787 for more information or to purchase tickets. "This is one of the largest fund-rais- ing events that we hold each year, says Miller. "It is a fun way for us to raise the much-needed funds that allow us to offer enriching cultural arts programs for the community. We hope folks will purchase their tickets and start planning now to be lucky on January 29th!" The Arts Council is located at 111 S. Washington Street in Shelby.
