NO CREDIT, POOR CREDIT LET US DECIDE! LET US DECIDE! Hundreds of students, parents and grandparents attended a Holly Jolly Christmas at Forrest Hunt Elementary School recently. The school's new principal Scott Hopper took the opportunity to meet everyone when they entered the entrance of the school. He greeted them in a bright red and green two-piece Christmas suit, matching tie and shoes. "Our fi rst Holly Jolly Christmas event was very successful," Hopper said. "It was great to see so many of our students and families come out and enjoy time together and get some educational materials to help them have continued success in school. "I can't thank the Forrest Hunt staff and our school PTO enough for all the hard work they put into pulling this event together and making it fun for everyone," he said. As families arrived at the school last Thursday evening, he directed families to the library for storytime, to the cafeteria for a pizza snack, cookies and beverages, to the gymnasium for crafts and a magical ride on a school bus through downtown Forest City. Families were invited to join their children at all event stations. Children also received a free book. Santa was also present and happy to have his picture taken with students. Hopper, a product of the Rutherford County Schools, said on a Facebook post, "I know the amazing opportunities that our schools have to offer," he said. "I am excited to work within this community to encourage and prepare our students for productive futures. I look forward to building relationships with you and your students in the coming months," Hopper continued. Hopper, his wife Kristin, an elementary school teacher, have two children, Evan, 9, and Emilia, 2. They live in Bostic.
