Along with noted filmmaker Nicole Holofcener ("Walking and Talking"), they're also co- writers and producers here as Ridley Scott directs the rather lengthy (just over 2-1/2 hours) tale of two knights in 14th-century France – played by Damon and Adam Driver – pitted against each other in a literal duel to the death after the wife of one ("Killing Eve's" Jodie Comer) accuses the other of assaulting her. The last such duel officially sanctioned in that country, the situation was the source of the Eric Jager novel that the film is based on. DVD extra: "making-of" documentary. ››› (R: AS, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) "MANIFEST: SEASON THREE" The good news for fans of this series – which NBC canceled last spring – is that there will be a fourth season, thanks to the very strong showing the drama has had on Netflix, which has agreed to bring back as many of the original actors as possible and make new episodes. For now, the mystery remains and deepens about Flight 828, which reappeared five-plus years after it vanished ... leaving its passengers and crew understandably baffled about what happened to them. Here, a fresh influx of supernatural clues makes siblings Michaela and Ben (Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas) start to suspect they died aboard the plane and were brought back to life, but that's only the start of bizarre new circumstances for them and their fellow travelers. Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Matt Long and Holly Taylor also are in the cast. ››› (Not rated: AS, P, V) "THE WALTONS' HOMECOMING" Almost 50 years after the TV movie "The Homecoming: A Christmas Story" set the stage for one of the most beloved series in home-screen history, this remake – broadcast recently by The CW – again tells creator Earl Hamner Jr.'s saga of a close-knit mountain family that faces a massive snowstorm one particular Depression-era holiday season. Raising the stakes is the fact that Walton patriarch John (now played by Ben Lawson) is out in the storm, sending eldest son and aspiring writer John-Boy (Logan Shroyer, the teenage Kevin on "This Is Us") into the bad weather to find him and bring him home. Bellamy Young ("Scandal") portrays wife and mother Olivia Walton, but an especially neat piece of casting here is original "John-Boy" Richard Thomas as the story's narrator, a spot filled by Hamner in the initial incarnation of "The Waltons." Veteran music stars Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. also are featured. ››› (Not rated: AS) "THE WOLF OF WALL STREET" Director Martin Scorsese's true, lengthy (three hours) and stunningly profane portrait of a controversial financial wizard makes its debut in the 4K Ultra HD format. Leonardo DiCaprio reunited with the filmmaker to play Jordan Belfort (whose memoir was the basis for the movie), a stockbroker whose ambition for wealth, power and the good life knows no bounds. However he ends up on the FBI's radar when suspicions arise that his hugely profitable dealings aren't entirely legal. Margot Robbie became a star as the woman who is Belfort's mistress and then wife; the cast also includes Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Kyle Chandler, Jean Dujardin ("The Artist"), Cristin Milioti, Jon Bernthal, Jon Favreau and Rob Reiner. Not surprisingly, Scorsese himself oversaw the picture's new 4K video transfer. ››› (R: AS, N, P) "CALLING FOR LOVE" Also seen in a recurring role on "S.W.A.T.," appealing cable-movie staple Karissa Lee Staples is ideally suited to this enjoyable comedy – shown recently on UPtv – in which she plays a podcaster who facilitates romances while staying away from making a love connection of her own. She helps draw former par tners back together by playing love songs, and her own tune about affairs of the heart changes when she meets one engaging fellow (Tajh Bellow, "General Hospital") who takes more of a shine to her than to his ex-flame (Emily Vere Nicoll). Marisa Brown also stars. ››› (Not rated: AS ) "VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE" Tom Hardy reprises the title role of the Marvel Comics character in this sequel that boasts an interesting director – Andy Serkis, renowned for his motion- capture performances ("The Lord of the Rings," "The Hobbit"). Also an executive producer of the film, Hardy co-wrote the story that sees his alien-symbiote- infused Eddie Brock still playing physical host to Venom, who has given rise to a deadlier version of himself (itself?) known as Carnage ... played by Woody Harrelson, and interested in communicating only with Brock, who has a hard time maintaining his freedom to deal with the situation as he'd like, given the concern of law officers over the lethal trail the aptly named Carnage is leaving. Michelle Williams and Reid Scott also return from the first movie, with Naomie Harris joining the cast. ››› (PG-13: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" "It was a wild kind of thing, how it happened. I got a call saying, 'We're starting on Monday. Can you get on a plane?' And I was like, 'Sure!' It's a sweet little movie." – Maggie Lawson of "Psych 3: This Is Gus" on Peacock, about her recent GAC Family film "A Lot Like Christmas" " h c o o li li L Is h " "The highest priority for me is the quality of the material and the nature of the character. Is this person someone I've never played before? Is this a story that is compelling to me?" – Daniel Dae Kim, seen recently in "The Hot Zone: Anthrax" on National Geographic " m m o p n Is c D r A G Towne Park is now Medicaid Waiver approved.
