C-6 Wednesday, December 8, 2021 The Press-Dispatch Pike Central Middle School Pike Central Middle School had a canned food drive for Somebody's place. The sixth grade class collected one thousand fifty three cans. The homeroom who collect- ed the most won a pizza party. Aksel Onyett is investigating how wind energy can be converted to electricity with Urban Wind Farm Ex- pedition . Brynna Thompson works on Everyday Electrici- ty Expedition- exploring the basics of electricity and electrical circuits. Briar Thomas and Jaelee Loveless work on Drag- ster Design Expedition, they are testing steel, alumi- num, and plastic axles, and includes a co2 for power. Jazmine Austin from Mrs. Christine Waddell's homeroom brought in the most items for the canned food drive for Somebody's place. Mrs. Waddell's homeroom collected the most items and won a pizza party. There is a lot going on in Mrs. Nikki Nalley's Technology Education class Alexis Scott, Abigail Boyd and Gage Morton are working on Growing Up Expedition- with a focus on vertical farming.
