A native of Cleveland County, she was the daugh- ter of the late Julius Bynum Mode and Lillian Frances Newton Mode. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Foster Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Nalley and husband Charles of Mooresboro; sons, Richard Foster Jr. and Rocky Samuel Foster and wife Amber, both of Boiling Springs; sister, Dianne Phillips and husband Roger of Boiling Springs; brother, Gary Mode and wife Paula of Bostic; three grandchildren; and a great grandson. Funeral services were held November 22, 2021 by her husband, Newell Thornburg; two sons, Rodney Dale and Alan Scott Thornburg; her brother, Carl Champion; and a sister, Della Bell. She is survived by a son: Lanny Thornburg and wife Tammy of Kings Mountain, NC; sister: Darlene Jimison and husband, Mike, Kings Mountain, NC; four grand- children and six great grand- children. Funeral service was held November 20, 2021 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Brackett offi- ciating. Interment was at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Malinda and Debbie. Survivors include two sons, James Grant and wife Darlene of Marion and Carl Grant and wife Linda of Shelby; three daugh- ters, Lisa Bowen of Kings Mountain, Peggy Stokes at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Gary Mode Jr. officiating. Johnny was born Tuesday, June 9, 1953 in Rutherford County to the late Whitey Henson and Olema Henson Toney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Toney and a granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Kim Henson; children, Tracy Rushing (Chris) of Dallas, NC, Travis Henson (Pam) of Ellenboro, Britt Holland (Alicia) of Forest City and Brandon Holland (Natalie) of Bostic; brother, Rick Henson (Becky) of Mooresboro; and ten grandchildren. Born in Cleveland County, NC on September 8, 1938, he was the son of the late Clevie Roy Ledford and Gladys Irene Wortman Ledford. In addition to his par- ents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Ledford; two sis- ters, Josephine Ledford and Evelyn Parrish and four brothers, John, Floyd, Richard and Louie Ledford. Ray will be remem- bered by the love of his life, Margaret Ingle Ledford; a daughter, Michelle Hoyle and husband, Van of Shelby; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hilda Beatty of Bostic, Thana Hudson and Irene Houser both of Casar.
