For a change in this nation, the Church has to awaken from its slumber and begin to read the Word again, pray and fast. Only then will God begin to move as we draw closer. Remember to pray for the sick, those in hospitals, in nursing homes and any that are downtrodden by life. May we be about the Mas- ter's business. Lift up in prayer your pres- ident, U.S. Congress, your state and local government of- ficials, as the Bible states that we might live a peaceful life. During this holiday season, many are stressed. Normal is no longer what it used to be. We need to try to be kind, be- cause when we're "ugly," there is a domino effect. Every ac- tion causes a reaction. Let us work at having a positive ac- tion and reaction, when need- ed. Ron Vickers, Pastor Elaine Young, Reporter, 812-749 -1122 (leave a mes- sage). Come Celebrate with Me Author Unknown As you all know, we are get- ting closer to my birthday. Ev- ery year there is a celebration in my honor. During this time there are many people shop- ping for gifts, in every part of the world and everyone is talking that my birthday is getting closer and closer. It is really very nice to know, that at least once a year, some peo- ple think of me. As you know, the celebra- tion of my birthday began many years ago. At first peo- ple seemed to understand and be thankful of all that I did for them, but in these times, no one seems to know the reason for the celebration. I would like this Christmas that you al- low me to enter into your life. I would like that you recognize the fact that almost two thou- sand years ago I came to this world to give my life for you, on the cross, to save you. To- day, I only want that you be- lieve this with all your heart. I want to share something with you. As many didn't invite me to their party, I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party that no one has ever imagined, a spectacular par- ty. I'm still making the final arrangements. Today I am sending out ma- ny invitations and there is an invitation for you. I want to know if you wish to attend and I will make a reservation for you and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book. Only those on the guest list will be invited to the party. Those who don't answer the invite will be left outside. Be prepared because when all is ready you will be part of my great party. See you soon. I love you.
