The Master’s House opened fi ve years ago on July 1, 2005 with a mis- sion to help those in need, whose life had fallen due to alcohol, drugs and low self esteem. Director, David Wayne Piercy said that they want to “point people toward Jesus Christ and to help them re-establish them- selves in life and the community.” He will tell you that years ago he fell by the wayside, but now he’s on the right path. The house at 727 Polkville Road (Hwy. 226 N.) accomodates seven men. Mr. Piercy said “the door is always open to those in need, if only they will commit.” He is very grateful to First Baptist Church’s Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from Troop 101 who continue to keep the pantry fi lled with food. Also, the eight churches that support “The Master’s House.” On Saturday, July 31st, friends and supporters were welcomed at a special Anniversary Open House. –M. A.
