The Chargers brought the game from the second quarter into the third quarter, tallying 18 points by halftime to North Posey's nine. North Posey, in the third quarter, seemed to overpower the Chargers, only in points, by picking up their scoring pace to six points more than the Chargers' five for the quarter. However, the Char- gers still held the lead and the game just got better from there. By the end of the fourth quarter, the Chargers battled to keep their lead, tying North Posey for the quarter in scor- ing. The eighth grade was vic- torious over North Posey by a score of 32-29. Coach J.J. Howald com- mented, "(They) played re- ally well defensively. We talk all the time about being the tougher team and I thought we were for three quarters. We let them back in the game in the third and made it clos- er than it needed to be. But I thought there were a lot of things we learned and got bet- ter from. Overall great team win."
