This was the 47th annual National Honor Society induction at Pike Cen- tral High School. Reciting the National Honor Society pledge to Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character are Evan Conder and Jillian Bailey. Juniors and seniors with a grade point average of 3.5 or above are eligible to apply to the National Honor Society. Signing his name in the official register of mem- bers is Josh Amacher. Thirty-five members were in- ducted on Tuesday, Oct. 26. Isaac Fair signs his name to the NHS register on Tuesday, Oct. 26. Kaden Goodrid signs the official NHS register. The National Honor Society is sponsored by Mrs. Cassi Craig and Mrs. Angie Williams. A dinosaur (Paula Lamey) greets the students with Principal Meyer as they come into the building on Thursday morning. The students were excited to dress in their Halloween costumes for the day. Fifth graders Taylin Bailey, Carter Bennett and Ravynne Cato join in the Hallow- een parade through the halls on dress up day. Brendon Travis is dressed as a nerd for the school Halloween dress up day. The students were saying "BOO" to drugs as a part of Red Ribbon Week. Second grade teacher Kendra Harmon gives some candy to a trash panda (Daisey Williams) during the South Pike PTO Trunk- or-Treat in the Winslow Elementary hallway. Emily Hudson and the other kindergarten teachers man their "Trunk-or-Treat" booth. Over 300 trick-or-treaters came with their parents to the PTO Halloween event.
