EDDIE HARDIN Eddie Hardin, age 66, of Ellenboro, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. Eddie was born Thursday, August 11, 1955 in Rutherford County to Shirley Mode Hardin who resides in Ellenboro and the late Robert Wesley Hardin. Michael Owen officiating. JAMES MICHAEL O'BRIEN James Michael "Mike" O'Brien, 67, Lawndale, gained his heavenly wings on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Health System. Born in Cleveland County, NC on September 12, 1954, he was the son of the late James O'Brien and Betty Sweezy O'Brien. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joey Franklin O'Brien. Mr. O'Brien is survived by Rita Canipe O'Brien; broth- er-in-law, Bobby Canipe (Paula) and Jerry Canipe (Tammy); three step-sisters, Kathy Flowers, Lisa Burleson and Patty Cash and three step-brothers, Scott Church, Ronnie Pearson and Bill Pearson. Formerly of Scottsdale, AZ and St. Croix, VI, Steve was a native of Cleveland County, the son of Iris Falls Francis of Shelby and the late Robert Ray Francis. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Greg Moore. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daugh- ters, Stephanie Barnholt and husband Scott of Brooklyn, NY and Madeline Storm and husband Todd of Phoenix, AZ; son, Bradley Ray Francis and wife, Courtney of Orlando, FL; brother, Paul Francis and wife, Johnanna of Shelby; sister, Helen Moore of Monroe; four grandchildren; and his for- mer wife, Nora Francis.
