host vaccination
clinic October 28
The Pike County and
Oakland City-Columbia
Township libraries will
be hosting a communi

ty vaccination clinic on
Thursday, Oct. 28. In-
fluenza and COVID-19
shots will be available at
both locations. Addition-
al vaccines may be avail-
able, if requested. The In-
diana Immunization Coa-
lition will be at Oakland
City from 10 a.m.-noon
and at the Petersburg li-
brary from 2-4 p.m. (all
times local). Registration
is available online at pa-
tients.vaxcare.com/regis-
tration Enrollment Code:
IN65942, but walk-ins will
also be available. Those
needing assistance with
the registration process
may visit either library
for assistance.

'Staying Scam Safe,' at
Oakland City-Columbia
Twp. Library Nov. 3
The Oakland City - Co-
lumbia Township Pub-
lic Library will offer the
"Staying Scam Safe" pro-
gram, free at the library,
Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 11
a.m. CDT. Andrew Hays,
with Purdue Extension,
will present a program
full of information about
common scams and steps
you can take to protect
yourself and your per-
sonal information. This
program is free for the
public.

United Way of Pike
County is now accept-
ing applications for grant
funding.
To apply, an organiza-
tion or agency has to have
a 501(c)(3) tax exempt
status, serve Pike Coun-
ty, and provide health
and human services. For
more information or to re-
ceive an application, call

com. The deadline for
completed applications
is November 1, 2021.
