Born in Birmingham, AL on November 29, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine South. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John 'Jay' Hardy III. She is survived by her son, Lee Collins; daughter Christie Martin (Matthew); two grandchildren; stepson, John Hardy IV; stepdaugh- ter, Melissa (David) Altman; three step-grandchildren; a step-great grandchild; sib- lings, Jerry South (Ming), Robbie South, and Bonnie Payne (Benny). A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of Sherry Hiland Parton of Clover, and the late Melvin Watson. She is survived by her sons, Chad Lyles and wife Brooklyn of Shelby and Daniel Marlow and wife Britnie of Lowell; sisters, Kimberly and Charlene Watson; and her boyfriend, Laymond Strong of Shelby. Mr. White served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and John White. She was born February 4, 1957, in Cleveland County, daughter of the late Joseph Cash and Kay Grigg Guin. A funeral service was held October 8, 2021, at Bethel Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Tim Sims. A private burial was held at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain. Terri is survived by her husband, Joe King; son, Wayne King; sisters, Susan Rhoades and husband John, Karen "Doodle" Dellinger and husband Jimmy; and a grandson. JEFFREY TODD McSWAIN Jeffrey Todd McSwain, 57, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Brenda Oliver Humphries and her husband Charles of Kings Mountain and the late Tommy McSwain. In addition to his moth- er, Todd is survived by his daughter, Ashley McSwain son, Jeffrey McSwain Jr. and wife Brandi, both of Kings Mountain; sister, Lynn Black of Patterson Springs; brother, Todd Humphries and wife Michele of Boiling Springs; and two grandchil- dren. Eddie was born Friday, May 5, 1950 in Rutherford County to the late Eddie Thomas Jennings and Nellie Goode Jennings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Joe Jennings and a sister, Burnette Craig. No formal service will be conducted.
