SHANNON LANKFORD AGUILAR Mrs. Shannon Lankford Aguilar, 46, of Cherryville, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland. Shannon was born on May 16, 1975 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late Rick Lankford and Susan Thrift Lankford. She is survived by her husband, Hernan Aguilar; a daughter, Mackenzie Aguilar both of the home and a brother, Bryan Lankford of Shelby. A memorial service was held September 30, 2021 at First Baptist Church in she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Hawkins; daugh- ter, Barbara Reynolds; son, Richard Hawkins; a son-in- law, Alan Reynolds; three sisters, and four brothers. She is survived by her son, Roger Hawkins and wife Sylvia of Shelby; daughters, Diane Sarratt and husband Dan of Rome, GA, and Carol Dean and husband Lynn of Kings Mountain; numerous grandchildren, great grand- children, great great grand- children; and one sister, Mary Biggerstaff. A graveside service was held October 2,2021 in Cleveland Memorial Park with the Rev. Andy Oliver and Rev. Jim Richardson officiating. Born in Lincoln County, NC on May 26, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John Clinton Sanders and Florence Goins Sanders. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Genie Mull; daughter-in-law, Angie Mull; two brothers, Buddy Sanders and Bobby Sanders and a sister, Mavine Lee. Survivors include three sons, Billy Sanders and wife, Jessie and Michael Mull all of Lawndale and Gary M ull of Kings Mountain; three daughters, Roxanne Caldwell and husband, Richard of Shelby, Jackie Houser and husband, Ricky of Kings Mountain and Priscilla Hillman and hus- band, Paul of Shelby; two brothers, Jerry Sanders and wife, Janie of Forest City and Ralph Sanders of Kings Mountain; a sister, Hazel Jones and husband, Hopper of Tenn.; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. JAMES "JIMMY" LEE WEATHERS James "Jimmy" Lee Weathers, 73, of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at his residence. Born in Cleveland County, NC on November 8, 1947, he was the son of the late Carl Lee Weathers and Annie Eunice Parker Weathers. Mr. Weathers served our country in the US Army and served during Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Costner Weathers; son, Kevin Weathers of Shelby; daugh- ter, Heather Jones and hus- band, Steve of Cherryville; brother, Wayne Weathers and wife, Pat of Shelby; two sisters, Joan Ludwig of Cherryville with Dr. Vince Hefner officiating. She is survived by her husband, Richard Willis of the home; daughter, Ashlee Smith and husband, Christopher of Shelby; sis- ters, Terra Lail of Shelby, and Donna Garitta and husband, Salvatore of Lake Lure; brother, Gerald Gardner Jr. of Shelby; and a granddaughter. She was a native of Cleveland County, NC and the daughter to the late Noah Lee Beaver and Altie Campbell Beaver. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe William Bailey, two brothers; Marshall Beaver and Lyman Beaver; and one sister, Margie Mayes.
