Shannon was born on May 16, 1975 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late Rick Lankford and Susan Thrift Lankford. She is survived by her husband, Hernan Aguilar; a daughter, Mackenzie Aguilar both of the home and a brother, Bryan Lankford of Shelby. A memorial service was held September 30, 2021 at First Baptist Church in she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Hawkins; daugh- ter, Barbara Reynolds; son, Richard Hawkins; a son-in- law, Alan Reynolds; three sisters, and four brothers. She is survived by her son, Roger Hawkins and wife Sylvia of Shelby; daughters, Diane Sarratt and husband Dan of Rome, GA, and Carol Dean and husband Lynn of Kings Mountain; numerous grandchildren, great grand- children, great great grand- children; and one sister, Mary Biggerstaff. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Genie Mull; daughter-in-law, Angie Mull; two brothers, Buddy Sanders and Bobby Sanders and a sister, Mavine Lee. Mr. Weathers served our country in the US Army and served during Vietnam.
