The Titans' starting defense held Mt. Vernon to a three and out, forcing them to punt from their one. They took over at the Mt. Vernon 32. DeLong ran for 10 yards, Allen hit Peyton Rogers for eight yards, then Lukeman ran it in from 14 yards out for his fourth touchdown. Chris Spear hit the PAT to go six of seven on the night. "He (Lukeman) does a great job back there. Early part of the season, we were trying to limit him back there. . . He is very versatile. We can line him up in the backfield or at the slot," said Hart. A 60 -yard drive by the Wild- cats that spanned more than six minutes of the third quar- ter and 90 seconds in the fourth got Mt. Vernon on the board against the Titan re- serves. Devan Roberts broke off a 26 -yard run to finish off a 65 -yard drive by the Titan re- serves, giving the Titans a 54- 6 lead. Allen's 366 -yard perfor- mance moved him two spots higher on the Indiana all-time career passing standings. He moved from 12th to 10th, pass- ing up Luke Johnston (2015), of Southport, with 8,958 and Mikey Kidwell (2016), of West Lafayette, with 9,023. Just in front of him with 9,321 yards in ninth is Aus- tin Karazsia, of Linton-Stock- ton, and in eighth, Chris Mills (2003), of Lafayette Jefferson, with 9,501 yards. Hart also praised the play of Allen, who completed pass- es to eight different receiv- ers, with six of those having more than 50 yards of recep- tions in the game. "I think he is doing such a great job of that this year. He isn't forc- ing anything, just taking what people are giving him. That is the reason we are having such success. He is getting it to the open guy and letting them do their thing," said Hart. The win moved the Titans to 6 -1 overall on the season and 4-0 in the conference. County rivals crash Friday By Andy Heuring SG Star-Times sports@sgstartimes.com County rival Princeton (2-5) is next up on the schedule. The Titans will travel to Princeton for the 7 p.m. game. Princeton lost 35 -13 to an im- proving Boonville team on Fri- day. A fter jumping out to a 7-0 lead and starting the third quar- ter up 7-6, Boonville was able to outscore the Tigers 29 -6 for the win. Boonville is on the upswing, as they led 12-0 over the then un- defeated Mt. Vernon Wildcats, before giving up 13 fourth-quar- ter points. The Tigers, in recent weeks, have been lead by Kaleb Ice, who ran for 114 yards in 22 car- ries and one touchdown against the Pioneers. He also was their leading receiver with three catches for 28 yards. Ice ran for 152 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers' 40 - 24 win over Washington. Al- so in the backfield is Baylen Hardiman, who ran for 92 yards against South Spencer. Princeton has scored 40 or more in both their wins: 42-20 over North Central and 40 -24 over Washington. They have not scored more than 13 points in any of their five losses: For- est Park 13-12, North Posey 53- 6, Mt. Vernon 47-7, South Spen- cer 40 -12 and Boonville 35 -13. They are averaging 18.8 points a game on offense, while giving up 33 points a game on defense. A win by Gibson Southern on Friday would clinch at least a tie by the Titans. Hart said he doesn't think af- ter three big wins over South- ridge, Heritage Hills and Mt. Vernon, a let down will be an is- sue. "I don't think there will be an issue with that. We can clinch a share of the Pocket Athlet- ic Conference this week. Then win it outright the next week. I think we are playing at a really high level. You don't want to go backwards. Because when you do, you have to climb back up to that. It is important to keep it go- ing and keep the momentum we have," said Hart. So far, against their first four PAC opponents, the Titans have not been forced to punt. They have scored on every possession except one, when they gave up a possession or got the ball with just seconds left in the first half. They are averaging 56.75 points a game against PAC op- ponents. Brady Allen has thrown for 1,840 yards and 27 touchdowns so far this season. That total moved him to ninth place on the Indiana all-time career pass- ing list, with 9,292 yards pass- ing. While senior Rory Heltsley is the leading receiver with 687 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is one of six receivers who have 97 yards or more receiving. Cole McKee has caught three touchdowns and has 262 yards, Kaden Hurless has five touch- downs and 254 yards, Seth De- Long has 197 yards and one touchdown, Brayden Malone has two touchdowns and 136 yards, and Isaac O'Neal has 97 yards receiving and two touch- downs. Adrean Lukeman, in Friday's win over Mt. Vernon, caught two passes for 53 yards and two receiving touchdowns, adding to Allen's targets this season. DeLong leads the Titans' rushing game with 427 yards in 64 carries and six touchdowns. Regardless the outcome, there will be raucous crowds on both sides of the field in the county rivalry game. Kaden Hurless pulls in a pass in the endzone to make it 14-0 over Mt. Vernon. Hurless caught four passes for 83 yards in the 54-6 win. Titan quarterback Brady Allen lowers his head and fights for extra yards during the Titans' 54-6 win against Mt. Vernon. Allen threw for 366 yards and five touchdowns. He moved to ninth on the Indiana all-time career passing list with 9,292 yards. Left: Titan receiver Cole McKee heads up field after catching a pass. McKee caught four passes for 80 yards, despite leaving the game in the second quarter with an injury.
