Be- cause faith is something we believe in without actually seeing with our own two eyes. These men actually lived with Jesus Christ for three years. They witnessed all His mir- acles first hand. Of His heal- ing the sick, making the lame walk, even bringing dead peo- ple back to life. These brave men didn't have to die the way they did. All they had to do was to deny the truth in what they had seen with their own eyes and heard with their own ears. You see they loved Jesus as Jesus loved them. They be- lieved Jesus to be the Messi- ah that Israel had been wait- ing for. They believed in what they had seen and heard so much, that they took their be- lief to be with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom, which He had taught them about. 1- Matthew suffered mar- tyrdom in Ethiopia, killed by a sword. 2- Mark died in Alexandria, Egypt, after being dragged by horses through the streets till he was dead. 3- Luke was hanged in Greece as a result of his tre- mendous preaching to the lost. God will accept such hum- bling of yourself as the proof that your whole heart desires it, as the very best prayer for it, as your preparation for His mighty work of grace, when, by the mighty strengthening of His Holy Spirit, He reveals Christ fully in you, so that He, in His form of a servant, is tru- ly formed in you, and dwells in your heart.
