Richard "Yankie" Fredrick McIntyre, Jr., 81, of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, New York on July 31, 1940, he was the son of the late Richard McIntyre and Helen Marie Froewiess McIntyre. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Roger Evans; a brother, Robert McIntyre and stepsister, Holly Kreger. Survivors include his wife, Zonia Moses McIntyre; three daughters, Nicole Waters of Charlotte, Sharon Sue Holtzcloth and Michelle Robinson both of New Jersey; stepdaughter, Tracy Lugo of South Carolina; stepson, Rodney Parker of Lawndale; brother, Danny McIntyre of Mesa, AZ; nine grandchildren and numer- ous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Born in Cleveland County, on April 28, 1932, he was a son of the late Alvin Redmond and Linner Mae Mellon Redmond. Mr. Redmond served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Walter Redmond; and two sisters, Rosa Mae Parker and Myrtle Griffin. He is survived by his wife, Vertie Ruth Warlick Redmond; son, Everett Lee Redmond II and wife, Valerie Schneider of Silver Spring, MD; daughter, Frances Redmond Overcash and husband, Marc of Atlanta, GA; sister, Joyce Mellon of Mooresboro; and two grand- sons. The graveside service was held Sept. 11, 2021 at Rose Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Tom Runyon officiating. Born in Cleveland County on August 1, 1947, he was a son of the late Arch Houser and Hattie Hoyle Houser. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, Ted, Bud, Tilson, and Jack Houser and a sister, Elaine Matthews. He is survived by his wife, Winona Canipe Houser; son, Rodney Houser and wife, Denise of Hickory; daugh- ter, Sharon Houser Hewitt and husband, Jonathon of Maiden; brother, Dan Houser of Vale; and nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The funeral service was held September 10, 2021 at Hebron United Methodist Church with Johnny Norton and Jonathan Hewitt officiat- ing. The burial followed in the church cemetery. Keith was born Saturday, April 16, 1966 in Rutherford County to Druary and Francis Jones who reside in Ellenboro. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Keeter. Besides his parents, he is survived by his chil- dren, Renee Taft (Chuck) of Marshall, NC, April Lynn (Jeff) of Forest City, Brookley Baker of Sevierville, TN and son, Clifton Baker of Bostic; siblings, Scott Jones of Ellenboro, Linda Kay Roland of Ellenboro and Mike Jones (Deanna) of Ellenboro; and five grandchildren. BEN MILLER ALLISON Ben Miller Allison, 83, of Blacksburg, SC, passed away on September 5th, 2021. After the passing of his wife, Lemuel Mae Allison, he later married Barbara Pennington Allison. He was the son of the late Otis M. Allison and the late Eula Vastine Allison, born in Blacksburg, on April 6, 1938. In addition to his late wife and parents, Mr. Allison was preceded in death by twelve of his siblings, Otis Allison, Jr., C.A. Allison, Leroy Allison, Charles "Maddie" Allison, James Allison, Paul Allison, Wayne Allison, Ola Catherine Martin, Doris Bright, Betty Jean Childers, Eula Mae Rippy, and Kay Hardin. He is survived by one sister, Brenda Parker, his daughters, Cheryl Mauney and husband, Scott of CHRISTINE SMITH LUCKADOO Christine Smith Luckadoo, age 49, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021. Christine was born Sunday, April 16, 1972 in Rutherford County. She was preceded in death by her father, Butch Smith. She is survived by her mother, Lula Wilson (Scott) of Forest City; her chil- dren, Tabatha White (Nigel) of Ellenboro, Nina Vance (Jeremy) of Union Mills, Brittney Vance (Jeremy) of Green Hill, Eddie Vance of Rutherfordton and Donna Holley (Jimmie) of Spindale; her grandmother; and eight grandchildren. The service was held at Faith Baptist in Shelby, September 8, 2021 with his Pastor J. Barry Goodman officiating. He will be laid to rest by his wife, Lemuel, at the Clingman Memorial Gardens in Blacksburg. JAMES "BUSTER" PANTHER James "Buster" Panther, 89, of Shelby, NC, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Christmas and Lola Lawson Panther. Mr. Panther served our country in the US Army. He is survived by his daughter, Mona Spivey and husband, Jeff of Lawndale; sons, James Lynn Panther of Shelby and Dr. Randy Panther and wife, Chelsea of San Antonio; sis- ter, Joan Young of Charlotte; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
