ounded in 1987, Venice Pier Group runs three
fun-oriented eateries: Sharky's on the Pier, Fins
at Sharky's, and Snook Haven. Now the operation is
expanding to a fourth business — providing food and
beverage services at Siesta Beach located on Siesta Key.
Said Justin Pachota, President of Venice Pier Group, "I
believe one of the reasons we're expanding when others
are consolidating is because we treat our employees
like family." He added, "We're constantly evolving and
progressing toward the next generation."
To that end, Justin and his father recently switched
roles — with company founder, Mike Pachota, stepping
back to serve as Vice President.
Growing up in the business, Justin earned a degree
in hospitality from the University of Central Florida.
After working in the corporate world, his career path led
him back to Venice Pier Group. Although some family
members chose other careers, Justin's wife, Cheri, is
Managing Partner at Snook Haven.
"I'm very proud of my brother, Nick, a City Council
Member," said Justin. "Our mother, Donna, recently retired
from the medical profession. She was a pioneer in the
nurse practitioner field in Florida."
Donna is involved with many local charities including
Children First and All Faiths Food Bank. Not surprisingly,
the family business has a rich history of involvement with
sponsorships and non-profits.
"We firmly believe in giving back to our beautiful
community," said Justin.
