THANKYOU MARIN! Dear Marin, Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your family since 1955! It all started when two brothers, Ben and Joe Saccone from San Francisco, thought it would be a great idea to open the first grocery store in Marin. The local family-owned business continued when they passed the torch on to two long-time employees, Bill Daniels and Bob Musante, who took the reins in 1982; Piero Lovi was added as a third member of the ownership team in 1990. And now, I, Kelly Smith, Bill Daniels'daughter, along with Michael Lovi, Piero's son, have the honor of carrying on the local family tradition. We know we can't do this on our own; we have the privilege of working with 135 employees who have been with us for an average of 15 years. We are a family. Our family has the honor of serving you, while at the same time supporting local producers such as Clover, Equator Coffee, and Casa Sanchez. We carry thousands of their items from over 100 local companies! We are also proud to bring you fresh produce which is delivered right to our doors six days a week, and fresh meat, poultry and seafood which is delivered four days a week: most from local vendors, such as Mary's, Rocky and Stemple Creek. We are always striving to bring you the newest, most unique items, of which we have added over 1000 innovative items since the beginning of the year, many from local vendors; but we know you have your favorites so we offer those as well. If there is something missing that you just have to have, or maybe you have a special-order request, just ask! We are here to serve you. We also know we have a responsibility to support our community as a whole. We do this in many ways including our Community Card which gives back well over $100,000 per year to our local schools. We sponsor the Community Spotlight to show off our many local non-profits; and we collect nickels at check out which we donate to many local organizations. So, whether you work, live or play in Marin, we want to thank you for your support of United Markets these past 65+ years. By shopping at our local business, you are also supporting our families as well as providing the means for local food suppliers, local schools, and local non-profits to thrive. With gratitude and appreciation, Your United Markets Family Healthy Choices. Honest Value. Sonoma Harvest Fairfield, CA One can either eat to live, or live to eat.
