Mr. William Oliver Hutley, Sr., 80, of Lawndale, NC passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021. He was born on August 28, 1940 in Cleveland County, NC to the late ODell Hutley and the late Lucille Ramseur Hutley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Oliver Hutley, Jr.; his brothers, Dennis Ross and James "June" Ramseur and his sisters, Mary Ruth Coates, JoAnn Davenport and Barbara-Ann Ross Hutley. He is survived by his broth- er, Thomas Hutley (Patricia). The funeral service was held August 1, 2021 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. Burial took place at Ramseur Baptist Church Cemetery. REBECCA BOLIN BELL Rebecca Bolin Bell, 68, of Blacksburg, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021. Born in Blacksburg, she was the widow of Carl Bell and the daughter of the late Billy Brice Bolin and Wilma Lee Moses Bolin. Surviving Mrs. Bell are two sons, Chris Bell and wife, Dara, of Greenwood and Timothy Bell of Grover; three brothers, Kenneth Bolin and wife, Eunice, of Gaffney, David Bolin of Blacksburg, and Richard Bolin of Blacksburg; three sisters, Linda Bolin of Shelby, Vicky Bolin of Blacksburg, and Bertha Bolin of Blacksburg; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, Becky was pre- ceded in death by a daugh- ter, Lynn Bell; two broth- ers, Billy Brice Bolin and Baby Boy Bolin; and a sister, Patricia Ann Bolin. Funeral services were held August 3, 2021 at Victory Life Assembly of God with Rev. Mike Whisnant and Rev. Josh Henderson offi- ciating. Interment followed at Clingman Memorial Gardens. held August 5, 2021 at First Baptist Church Lawndale. Burial take took at the church cemetery. TERESA CHARLENE HARMON Teresa Charlene Harmon, 70, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021. She is predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Virginia Hollander Greene. Teresa is survived by her daughter, Lisa Morrow Cody of Kings Mountain; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC with Pastor Greg McNeely officiating. BRANDI LYNN YARBOROUGH HUMAID Brandi Lynn Yarborough Humaid, 46, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Brandi leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons, David R. McDaniel, Devin Spencer and Jesus Villanueva; parents, Larry and Melanie Yarborough; sisters, Crystal Yarborough, Telenia Guzman and Lacey Barron; and brother, Larry Yarborough. DONALD LEE BLANKIN Donald Lee Blankin, affec- tionately known as "Donnie", 73, of Blacksburg went home to be with his late wife, Darlene Blankin, on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Inez Allen Blankin and James Patrick Blankin. Mr. Blankin served our country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. While on tour in Vietnam, he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He also served in the S.C. National Guard. Surviving Mr. Blankin are two daughters; Casey Israel (Kenny) of Blacksburg and Courtney Blankin (Jason Sharpe) of Gaffney; a sis- ter, Beverly Allison (Dickie) of Gaffney; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred Parker (Vickie) of Inman, Steve Parker of Spartanburg; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A graveside service was held August 2nd, 2021 in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Connell officiating. SHERI DIANE HILPERT BRADLEY Sheri Diane Hilpert Bradley, 53, of Blacksburg, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021. Born in Helena, AR, she was the wife of Lawrence Ray Bradley and the daugh- ter of Bobby Baker Hilpert and the late Carolyn Holland Hilpert. In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Bradley is survived by one son: Robert Joseph Bradley; three step- children, Ashley Bradley, Justin Bradley, and Nathan Bradley; four grandchil- dren; and one brother, Mike Hilpert. No services are planned at the present. JOHN EMMETT HOEY, SR. Mr. John Emmett Hoey, Sr. departed this life for his eternal home on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He was born on November 16, 1947, in Cleveland County to the late John and Amanda Posey Hoey. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hoey was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Ola Lattimore Hoey; his broth- ers, J.B. Hoey, Earl Hoey, Arthur Hoey, James Hoey, C.J. Hoey, Anthony Hoey and Clyde Hoey. Left to cherish his mem- ory are his four children: Marvin A. Hoey (Celeste) of Kingstown, NC, John Emmett Hoey, Jr. (Tara) of Statesville, NC, Shella D. Joseph of Charlotte, NC, and Lance O. McCluney of Arlington, VA; his sisters, Selma Hoey (Gilbert), Ethel Dawkins (Ben) of Shelby, NC, and Marnita Hoey of Charlotte, NC; two sisters- in-law Christine Hoey and Margaret Hoey both of Shelby, NC; and sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. The service for Mr. Hoey was private. Burial was at Eskridge Grove Baptist Church. JAMES HENRY JOHNSON Sergeant James Henry Johnson, 92, of Lawndale, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021. A native of Cleveland County, NC, he was born December 12, 1928, to the late John Henry Johnson and Sue Bell Lumpkin Johnson. Mr. Johnson served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. James mar- ried Martha "Nan" Glover Johnson and out of that union, one son, James Kavin Johnson and one daugh- ter, Mary Lynne Johnson of Shelby, NC; and two grand- children. In addition to his father and mother he was preced- ed in death by a brother, Horrace "B" Johnson and Lee Arthur "Boot" Johnson. He is also survived by his sisters, Mattie Belle Vinson, Lucy Ellen Vinson, Betty Ann Clark (John P. Clark), and sister-in-law, Willie Mae Hector Johnson of Lawndale. Born on June 12, 1954 she was the daughter of the late O.V. and Beverly Thornton Clark Hamrick. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Nina Claire Hamrick Brown and a step-son, Jeffrey Jones.
