The Discovery Inc.- owned streamer launches "Puppy Bowl Presents: The Summer Dog Games," on Saturday, July 31, and, yes, it is as adorable as it sounds. The Puppy Bowl, known for brightening up Super Bowl Sunday every year in February (especially for those less interested in the football game itself), is hop- ping on board to celebrate and partake in (in their own way) this year's 2020 Sum- mer Olympics in Tokyo, Ja- pan. Facing off against one an- other for the glory of being named the Gold Medalist for showmanship and talent in the canine sports sector, five dog- and-trainer teams undertake a series of challenges to show their athleticism. From speed and agility circuits to unbeliev- able tricks and gimmicks, each team competes across three rounds of show-stopping chal- lenges for the title of Top Pup. Hosted by American come- dian and actress Kym Whitley ("Black Dynamite," 2009), judges of "The Summer Dog Games" include none other than professional dog trainer and actor Travis Brorsen ("My Big Fat Pet Makeover") and in- ternational master of dog trick training Sara Carson. (Carson also appeared as a contestant on Season 12 of "America's Got Talent" with her canine partner, Hero. The two made it all the way to the final before losing out to young ventrilo- quist Darcie Lynne Farmer.)
