Jim Koury is a seeker of personal truth, and desires to empower oth- ers to find their own personal truth, whatever it may be. He is also an ac vist who is not afraid to speak his mind, and ruffle some feath- ers, if necessary. His main objec ve is to get people to think and think for themselves. He espouses Aristotle's mantra, "It is the mark of an edu- cated mind to entertain a thought without accep ng it." Jim does not force his views on others but just puts them out there for folks to think about and discard if they wish. Welcome to the July issue of Diversity Rules Magazine. Wow! It is hard to believe we are now entering the 2nd half of 2021 already. However, it is a much different year than last year at this me, and we all should be thank- ful for that! Vaccines work, folks. PLEASE keep ge ng vaccinated so we can get this scourge behind us once and for all! This month's feature interview is with DeAn- gelo Jackson, thanks to the fine folks at Proj- ect Publicity. DeAngelo is the first black man to win a GAYVN Best Actor Award in 2020. He has just released a new documentary film about "Being Black in Porn." The GAYVN Awards is porn's equivalent to the Oscars. DeAngelo started his career in 2009 and is now in his third year as Noir Male's exclusive contract performer. Jackson was born in Ger- many, raised in Georgia and studied Criminal Jus ce at Florida State University. He entered the adult industry as a way to make extra money in college. Having never been with a man or woman, Jackson lost his virginity on camera. He doesn't regret any choices he has made and maintains a happy rela onship with his suppor ve family who say they are proud of all of his adult film success.
