The Daily Star, Oneonta, N.Y., Friday, June 25, 2021 20 By Dana Simpson TV Media Building family: Anyone who has ever tuned in to HGTV, the Discovery Inc.- owned home and garden net- work, will likely have seen a duo or two tearing down walls and building a new home for a lucky couple or family. One of these pairs is none other than Karen E. Laine and her daughter, Mina Starsiak Hawk, hosts and ren- ovation/design experts on "Good Bones." And good news for fans: Season 6 of the show is premiering Tuesday, June 29, on HGTV. After five seasons of reno- vations, family high jinks and the birth of two of Starsiak Hawk's own children, viewers might wonder whether the part-time renovators (Laine is a lawyer by day and Starsiak Hawk is a real estate agent) have left any home "un- flipped" in the greater India- napolis area. The answer, however, is self-evident as the two are preparing for another season of their hit unscripted series; a season Starsiak Hawk touted as a bit "crazy." "Gosh, there's always crazy stuff and they just run togeth- er in my head," Starsiak Hawk said in an interview with Pop- Culture.com. She later elabo- rated: "Cory [Miller] buys a house. So, that's really excit- ing. It's his first home pur- chase and it's one of ours — and in our neighborhood, so it's a really cute episode." Miller is the project manag- er of the "Good Bones" team and the women's Two Chicks and a Hammer project for neighborhood revitalization. A recurring worker on the show, Miller is expected to feature more prominently this season given his recent home-buying experience. The newest season, cleared for renewal just one month af- ter the birth of Starsiak Hawk's second child, Char- lotte "Charlie" Drew, in Sep- tember 2020, will run for a to- tal of 14 episodes in its regular Tuesday evening time-slot. realtalk Mina Starsiak Hawk and Karen E.
