The Lady Char- gers tallied six hits, led by Bailey and Powell with two each, Fiscus with one and On- yett with her home run. A fter the game, coach Stephanie Dawson said, "The girls put up a battle against Boonville, but had a tough time stringing hits together. Their pitcher was painting the outside corner. We had worked on it all week at prac- tice." "We had some hiccups in the field with a few bad hops and some aggressive base running mistakes. Overall, Boonville just earned the win and you have to respect that. I thought both pitchers did a nice job and it was good for our girls to get the experi- ence. In the long run, games like that make you a better athlete and person as long as you let the game teach you. I'm very proud of the improve- ments made this season and I look forward to big things happening for this team in the future." Dawson added, "I have to send a huge thank you out to our seniors on the team for all of their dedication over the years. I'd also like to thank everyone for showing up and supporting us in the tourna- ment. The big crowd and high energy was great for the girls to be surrounded by."
