The Daily Star, Oneonta, N.Y., Friday, May 14, 2021 20 By Dana Simpson TV Media Fixin' critters: Snuggle up on the couch and get ready for one of the most adorable un- scripted series on television to kick off its newest season. Season 2 of National Geo- graphic's hit series "Critter Fixers: Country Vets" debuts Saturday,May 22, on Nat Geo Wild. Located nearly 100 miles outside of Atlanta (the clinic has locations in both Bonaire and Byron, Georgia), the Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospital cares for all creatures great and very, very small. Entrusted in the ca- pable and caring hands of vet- erinarians Dr. Vernard Hodges and Dr. Terrence Ferguson, the clinic sees all sorts of animals on a daily basis, from house- hold pets to wild animals. Throughout the six episodes of the show's first season, Hodges and Ferguson catered to everything from alpacas in labor and baby bunnies at- tacked by a family cat to a de- hydrated bearded dragon and a chinchilla with a broken leg. Viewers can expect to see much of the same caring and hilarious bedside manner the vets have to offer as they kick off Season 2. After all, National Geographic is simply providing a look at the day-to-day life of these cape-less creature he- roes. "The show follows our lives," Hodges said in an inter- view shared by the Houston Home Journal. "It follows our veterinary career and the di- verse animals we work with. It's non-scripted, so it captures our real senses of humor and our genuine personalities, while highlighting the actual goings on and the ins and outs of our veterinary clinic." Fans of the show can catch up on old episodes of "Critter Fixers: Country Vets" on Dis- ney+ before catching the pre- miere of Season 2 when it airs Saturday, May 22, on Nat Geo Wild. (There's no news yet on when the second season will make its way onto Disney's streamer.) realtalk Dr. Vernard Hodges and Dr. Terrence Ferguson from "Critter Fixers: Country Vets" B/The Pine Shop 6x7.5 Oreck Vacuum Sales and Service, Bags & Belts for many other brands • Upholstery Available Oneonta's Oldest Furniture Store, Meeting Your Home Furnishing Needs for Over 45 Years!
