Another Gay Movie - Con't from page 7 by the end of the summer. The boys soon face gi- ant sex toys, naked celebri es, masochis c teachers, and an uncomfortable romance with a quiche. With a dozen jokes a minute and a who's who of gay ce- lebri es (including Graham Norton, Sco Thompson, Ant, Mink Stole, and Richard Hatch) as you've NEVER seen them before, Another Gay Movie is a candy-col- ored romp where ge ng laid is all that ma ers! "Todd is brilliant with drama and comedy - as there is always a mix in any of his films," said Jonah Blech- man, who recently collaborated again with Stephens on the upcoming Magnolia Pictures release, SWAN SONG, with Udo Kier, Jennifer Coolidge, Linda Evans and Michael Urie. "In one of my most outrageous performances, the ANOTHER GAY MOVIE franchise was what I like to call my Queer protest films. I'm for- ever proud of the boundaries we all broke, that even today, have yet to be topped in the queer genre!" "You know, at live shows, people s ll bring me AN- OTHER GAY MOVIE DVD'S to sign, all I do is beam. It's like they are 'in the know,'" says Michael Carbonaro. "A er 15 years, I s ll get jazzed thinking about it. I feel incredibly lucky and proud to have go en to be a part of this film that Todd dared to write and we all dared to make. It grabbed our audiences...right were they needed to be grabbed. It was nothing short of legendary." The few trims and adds have improved this super edgy LGBTQ+ film's' greatness. And let's face it, right now everyone could use a li le joy in the world. What will a new genera on of woke Millennials and Gen Z'ers think? We no longer seem to have the fervor of the Harvey Milk Era of queer libera on. Our pride celebra ons, and the advocacy of Harvey Milk, and our movement generally, seem to have be- come lost in corporate messaging and assimila ng our uniqueness into the larger society so as not to of- fend anyone. We also seem to have become mired in academic wrangling over le ers, stripes, pronouns, and the like. Worthy discussions for sure, and, I am not minimizing them at all. However, such academic exercises as our main focus and a goal of assimila on are all well and good, we inherently are different, and that difference should con nue to be celebrat- ed, while at the same me including all who support us in our large rainbow tent. I, therefore, envision Diversity Rules going in a bit of a different direc on and become more focused on individual empower- ment, and the achievements of those in our commu- nity who have blazed a trail for others to follow, and much less on the academic, ivory-tower debates we seem to be languishing in as a movement.
