For example, Cinelux movie theatres (cineluxtheatres.com) in Capitola (831-479- 3504) and Scotts Valley (831-438-3260) offer discount tickets to se- niors. Actually, before noon people of all ages get reduced prices. Then seniors get discounts on matinees (noon to 5 p.m.) and evening shows. Both locations also have $5 Tuesdays for all ages (except on holidays). Downtown Santa Cruz's Santa Cruz Cinema (831-291-9728, santacruzcinema.com), at the former location of Cinema 9 on Pacific, also offers discount senior tickets. The Museum of Art and History (831-429- 1964, santacruzmah.org), the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History (831- 420-6115, santacruzmuse- um.org), and the Seymour Marine Discovery Center (831-459-3800, sey- mourcenter.ucsc.edu) all offer admission discounts for seniors. Want to venture out- doors? DeLaveaga Golf Course offers a senior dis- count card to Santa Cruz County residents ages 60 and older. The National Park Service also offers senior passes, available with annual or lifetime options, for access to hundreds of U.S. locations including nearby Pinna- cles National Monument (nps.gov/pinn/index.htm). At Wal- greens (walgreens.com) those 65 and older get 20 percent off their purchase (excludes sale items) on the first Tuesday of each month. This is at all locations including Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley and Freedom. Santa Cruz Met- ro offers discount fares and passes to those 62 and older.
