Correll plans to attend the University of Evansville and study exercise science. She plans to become a pediat- ric physical therapist. During her years at PCHS, she has been involved with National Honor Society, Student Gov- ernment, BPA and Key Club. Community activities include volunteering at the Core Cen- ter, Night to Shine and Day of Caring. Correll played volley- ball throughout high school. Connor Young Winslow High School Alumni Association Scholarship Connor Young, the son of Chris and Tricia Young, is the recipient of the Winslow High School Alumni Association Scholarship. Connor will at- tend the University of Evans- ville majoring in biology. He plans to become a physician. He was involved in National Honor Society and youth soc- cer camp during high school. His community activities in- cluded Jefferson Township Fire Dept. and Jefferson Ru- ritan. He was in soccer and basketball throughout high school and also participated in track and field. Lily Willis Pike Central High School Alumni Scholarship Lily Willis, daughter of Bri- an and Erin Willis, of Peters- burg, is the recipient of the Pike Central High School Alumni Scholarship. Willis will attend the University of Southern Indiana. Her field of study will be social work with a minor in psychology. She intends to become a men- tal health therapist. She has been involved in student gov- ernment, National Honor So- ciety and BPA, among other things. Christmas in the Park, PAWS and United Way are among her community activi- ties. She has been involved in volleyball and track through- out high school. Jenna Meyer Otwell School Alumni Scholarship Jenna Meyer, the daugh- ter of Candy and Tim Mey- er, is the recipient of the Ot- well School Alumni Scholar- ship. Jenna intends to pursue a degree in nursing at IUPUI and become a forensic nurse. During her high school ca- reer, she has participated in National Honor Society, Stu- dent Government and Key Club. Some of her communi- ty activities were Day of Car- ing, Tractors for Trenton and walking dogs at PAWS. She has competed in swimming, cheerleading, diving and cross country throughout her high school career. Haven Longest Dr. and Mrs. William Weathers- Betty Wyatt Memorial Scholarship Haven Longest, the re- cipient of the Weathers-Wy- att Memorial Scholarship, is the daughter of Courtney and Charles Froehle, of Peters- burg. Haven will attend the University of Southern Indi- ana and major in business. Longest plans to work in busi- ness management. During high school, she was in the concert band, winter percus- sion and marching band. She was a cheerleader throughout high school. Kenley Beck Winslow Eagles Scholarship Kenley Beck, daughter of Dave and Charlotte Beck, of Petersburg, is the recipient of the Winslow Eagles Scholar- ship. Kenley will attend Vin- cennes University and study nursing. While in school, she has participated in Key Club and student government. She has played tennis throughout high school and played soccer. Trenadee Hatton-Rinehold Dessie Mae Bruce Griffith Scholarship Trenadee Hatton-Rinehold, daughter of Akita and Steven Reinhart, of Petersburg, is the recipient of the Dessie Mae Bruce Griffith Scholarship. She will attend Vincennes University and be a secondary education major. During her time at PCHS, she has been involved with band, pep band, marching band and National Honor Society. She has been a volunteer with PAWS. Cody Davis Vinson Family Scholarship Cody Davis, son of Brian and Angie Davis, of Peters- burg, is the recipient of the Vinson Family Scholarship. Cody has not made a final de- cision on the school he will attend. He plans to major in pre-veterinary science and work to become a veterinar- ian. He has been a member of the football team through- out his high school years and participated in wrestling. Community activities include working with future 4-Hers, youth football referee and 4- H for ten years. Mikayla Satterfield Petersburg High School Class of 1959 Mikayla Satterfield, the daughter of Chris and Amy Satterfield, of Oakland City, is the recipient of the Petersburg High School Class of 1959 Scholarship. She will attend the University of Southern In- diana and will study Art/Inter- active Media. She was in band throughout high school. She also was in pep band and Na- tional Honor Society. Reece Ashley Pike County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Reece Ashley, son of Am- ber Ashley, of Petersburg, and Brett Ashley, of Evans- ville, is the recipient of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship. He participated in Spanish Club and Key Club during his high school career. He has been on the soccer team through- out high school. He plans to attend Vincennes University and become a nurse. Xia Stafford Montes/Fenol Scholarship Xia Stafford, daughter of Timothy and Susan Stafford, of Petersburg, is the recipient of the Montes/Fenol Scholar- ship. Xia will be attending the University of Evansville and major in nursing. She has par- ticipated in softball through- out high school. She also was involved in NHS, Student Gov- ernment and Key Club. Her community activities includ- ed Day of Caring and ringing the bells for Salvation Army. Kasey Doerner Darwin and Grace Youngs Scholarship Kasey Doerner, the daugh- ter of Crystal and Terry Do- erner, is the recipient of the Darwin and Grace Youngs Scholarship. Kasey plans to attend Vincennes University. She plans to major in pre-vet- erinarian science and become a veterinarian. She participat- ed in band during her high school years. Grace Brandle Pike Central High School Scholarship Grace Brandle, recipient of the Pike Central Alumni Scholarship, is the daughter of Nancy and John Brandle, of Stendal. She will attend IU- PUI, where she will study ra- diology. Grace has been in- volved in National Honor So- ciety, Key Club, Spanish Club and student government. Community activities include, but are not limited to, Some- body's Place, food drives and PAWS. Brandle participated in cheerleading and soccer. Jerzey Reibold Kemp Family Scholarship Jerzey Reibold, recipient of the Kemp Family Scholar- ship, is the daughter of Can- dace and Phillip Reibold, of Petersburg. Jerzey will attend the University of Southern In- diana and plans to become a therapist/psychologist. Com- munity activities include homeless awareness, Santa house and caroling. She has participated in the school mu- sicals throughout high school and also swing choir. Stephen Krieg Joe and Libbie Dedman Scholarship Stephen Krieg, the son of Scot and Keena Krieg, and the late Angela Krieg, is the recipient of the Joe and Lib- bie Dedman Scholarship. Ste- phen plans to attend the Uni- versity of Southern Indiana and study kinesiology and nutrition. Keeping him busy during his high school years has been NHS, Key Club and Student Government. He has also helped with the Day of Caring and ringing bells for the Salvation Army. He also participated in football, bas- ketball, and track and field. Libby Stone Mary F. Curtis Scholarship and Petersburg High School Alumni Scholarship Libby Stone, recipient of the Mary F. Curtis Scholar- ship and the Petersburg High School Alumni Scholarship, is the daughter of Trent and Tra- cy Stone, of Petersburg. She will major in dental hygiene at the University of Southern Indiana. While attending Pike Central, she participated in cross country and track. She also was involved in the com- munity. She gave time to Day of Caring, Somebody's Place, PAWS and others. She was a member of NHS, FCA, Key Club and other school clubs. Kenzie Powell Carroll/Wyatt Scholarship Kenzie Powell, daughter of Shelly and Jerry Powell, is the recipient of the Carroll/Wyatt Scholarship. Powell intends to attend Vincennes University Jasper Campus and become a nurse. During high school, she has been involved in Na- tional Honor Society, Key Club and Student Govern- ment. Powell's community involvement includes Day of Caring, PAWS and she spent time ringing bells for the Sal- vation Army. She also partici- pated in basketball, volleyball and softball throughout high school. Hunter Russell Kenny Veale Memorial Scholarship and Pike Optimists/ Lawrell Hilgeman Memorial Scholarship Hunter Russell, son of Mi- chelle White, is the recipient of the Kenny Veale Memorial Scholarship and the Pike Opti- mists/Lawrell Hilgeman Me- morial Scholarship. He will at- tend the University of South- ern Indiana and will study engineering on his way to be- coming a mechanical engi- neer. During his high school career, he was involved in Ger- man Club, social studies aca- demic team and student gov- ernment. Zoey Davis First United Methodist Church Memorial Scholarship Zoey Davis, daughter of Todd and Jody, of Petersburg, is the recipient of the Peters- burg First United Method- ist Church Scholarship. Zo- ey will attend the Universi- ty of Evansville with plans to become a nurse. She has participated in National Hon- or Society, Student Govern- ment and Key Club, among other things. Her communi- ty involvement has included PAWS, food drives, ringing bells for the Salvation Army, and Day of Caring, among oth- er of things. She is on the ten- nis team and participated in volleyball.
