Serving Santa Cruz for 43 years! W elcome to the annual "Who's Who in real Es- tate and everything for the home" section here, in the Santa Cruz Sentinel. Yes, the title is longer this year as we incorporated finance and home improvement content and ad- vertisers as well. It made sense since this year we all spent more time in our homes than ever. This past year was like no other we have ever seen with a worldwide pan- demic asking us to shelter in place for a good chunk of the year. People ev- erywhere discovered that if we have to stay at home, our home should be in paradise. Like other gorgeous regions such as Lake Tahoe, our region saw an influx of buyers who no longer need- ed to live in the major metros for their jobs. Additionally, we had wildfires this summer that unfortunately due to that devastation, minimized a significant portion of our local housing inventory. With all of these factors, our housing market is now like no other. That be- ing said, when either buying or selling a home here, you need to make sure you are trusting that transaction to a dedicated real estate professional. This was a fun one to put together this year as we have more content and participating realtors than ever before. My thanks as always to the Santa Cruz County Association of Realtors (SCCAR) for providing fascinating content. Annual stats as well as some great info and photos about how the association volunteered in our com- munity during the challenges we all dealt with this past year.
