Spring, summer and fall activities include hiking, picnicking, boating, swimming, nature/cultural trails, canoeing, fishing, basketball and sand volleyball. Winter is bustling with activities such as ice-fishing, sledding, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Use the soccer fields, dog park, disc golf, playgrounds or the beaches. Glacier Hills County Park Ice Age Trail The Ice Age Trail is a National Scenic Trail stretching 1,200 miles (1,900 km) in the state of Wisconsin. The trail is administered by the National Park Service and maintained by the Ice Age Trail Alliance. Washington County has numerous segments of the Ice Age Trail. www.iceagetrail.org/washington-ozaukee-county Snowmobile Trails The Washington County Association of Snowmobile Clubs maintain snowmobile trails through out the county. Bring your sled to one of any locations and enjoy trails and scenery like no other in southeast Wisconsin. Check out availability, safety protocols, grooming and open trail schedules at www.wcasc.org. Eisenbahn Trail Built on a former railroad corridor, the history of the trail is remembered in the title "Eisenbahn," a German word for railroad. The trail passes through the communities of West Bend, Kewaskum and continues north for 25 miles. Washington County offers two Dog Parks with play areas and walking trails where dogs can be off leash in a fenced area to enjoy play time. They are located at Homestead Hollow County Park in Germantown and Sandy Knoll County Park in West Bend. Dog Park in Homestead Hollow County Park Get Married! Make your day one to remember with a beautiful outdoor setting and on-site facilities to rent for pre-events and a fun reception. At Glacier Hills County Park, in Richfield, you can also rent cabins and have the entire wedding party stay for the weekend. Wedding in Glacier Hills County Park Live Music! Bring your friends and family to fun events coordinated by Washington County Parks department, like the Beer Gardens, held at different parks throughout the county. Enjoy craft beer, live music, playgrounds for kids, and fun group games like Trivia. Beer Garden in Sandy Knoll County Park Go Kayak! Several Washington County Parks are located next to lakes with easy launch site for kayaks, small boats, fishing boats, and pontoon boats.
