Jack Tracy paints a fantasy of post-pandemic nightlife with the help of New York drag icon Sherry Vine in his video for "Love Yah," the tle track of his soon-to-be released EP. Drawing inspira on from early 2000's Jus n Timberlake, the R&B- nged dance track with its funk vibe was penned by Tracy while he was feel- ing isolated and alone from months spent in quaran- ne. "Even introverts get cabin fever," he explains. "I imagined myself finally going out, le ng loose and blowing some steam. I'm currently single but for the song, I gave myself a number one who worries I'd get caught up in the nightlife and not come back home. He needn't be concerned. I'm very consider- ate to my fic onal boyfriends." Jack's Tracy's "Love Yah" is being distributed independently and is avail- able on Apple Music, Spo fy and all digital pla orms. Its video will be available on Vimeo and YouTube on February 12. "I have recorded nearly thirty new songs during quar- an ne," Jack Tracy con nues from his NYC apartment. "I hope Love Yah serves as a reminder that there is light at the end of this tunnel and that if we all do our part, the end will come much, much sooner." In the intro scene of the song's music video, Jack Tra- cy squeezes in messaging about the need for every- one to get vaccinated as soon as possible. The scene stars New York drag queen Sherry Vine, playing the host of "Drag News", announcing the exci ng news that 80% of the US has been vaccinated and nightlife has reopened! "Sherry and I met when we were paired as partners in a cardio-boxing class a few years ago," says Jack Tracy. "She has been a sounding board and mentor to me and we've been looking for a way to work to- gether. This video presented the perfect opportu- nity!" New York photographer Sehee Kim directs; Joseph Patrick Conroy serves as the director of photogra- phy. It was filmed in three loca ons in New York City: Jack's apartment, Starr Bar in Brooklyn and a studio space. The shoot was supervised by a COVID Compliance officer and all par cipants were COVID screened, masked and socially distanced when not on camera. Merchandise from several of the podcasts Jack Tra- cy has enjoyed during the quaran ne are sprinkled throughout the video. Astute viewers will catch items from Trixie & Katya's "Bald and the Beau ful", Alaska and Willam's "RaceChaser", "Best Friends" Tracy - Con't on page 19 16 | Diversity Rules Magazine|Mar 2021 Jack Tracy Plans Post Covid Kiki New Video Release Entitled, "Love Yah" www.jacktracy.lgbt
