Jack Tracy is the founder and owner of Necessary Out- let, a produc on company that has produced several LGBTQ film works including the feature film, "Snow- flake," audio drama podcast, "Community," three cri - cally acclaimed seasons of the web series "History," and comedies "Big Law" and "Millennial Memoir". Snow- flake and all three seasons of History are now streaming on Dekkoo. Love Yah is Jack Tracy's third studio album. It follows Older and For You. The tle track is one of two dance singles on the Love Yah EP. The album also contains an anthemic mid- tempo addressing toxic masculinity in gay culture-- "Prince"--and some moody songs like "The Feels" and "Mysterious." It concludes with "Hold Me," a 90s-style pop ballad. All proceeds from purchases and streams of the "Love Yah" single and its music video, as well as all recently released Love Yah and History merchandise (h ps:// www.redbubble.com/people/necessaryoutlet/), will go to the funding of Season 4 of Jack Tracy's popular His- tory web series. He also plans to launch a broader Seed & Spark crowdfunding campaign later this spring. "Love Yah" is being distributed independently and is available on Apple Music, Spo fy and all digital plat- forms. Its video launches on Vimeo and YouTube on February 12th. The Michigan Civil Rights Commission confirmed it has nearly 50 LGBTQ discrimina on-based cases and Equality Michigan reported over 1,000 calls for help. The Complica on: For 38 consecu ve years, the Michigan Legislature has failed to pass a law ex- pressly protec ng LGBTQ rights. The state's cur- rent law, the Ellio -Larsen Civil Rights Act, prohib- its discrimina on based upon religion, race, color, na onal origin, age, sex, height, weight, familial status, or marital status. The first LGBTQ-rights bill was introduced in 1983 by Republican Rep. Jim Dressel, a former Air Force fighter pilot from Hol- land, MI, who received the Dis nguished Flying Cross. The Solu on: Fair and Equal Michigan aims to pass the first-ever LGBTQ rights law through a ci zens' bill by pe on. The pe on defines "sex" to in- clude sexual orienta on, gender iden ty, and gen- der expression. Ci zens' submi ed pe on signa- tures in October 2020. The difference-maker: The Legislature is required to pass it or send the ques- on to voters on the 2022 ballot. Lawmakers can- not vote it down.
