where
the

the
Sentinel

know
who

think

our

When
we
launched
the
voting
we
were
really
unsure
how
it
would
go.
But,
WOW!
....
the
response
was
big-
ger
and
better
than
ever
this
year.
We
received
significantly
more
votes
from
you
the
readers
than
ever
be-
fore!
That
just
shows
the
strong
com-
munity
we
have
here
in
Santa
Cruz
County
and
how
all
of
you
choose
to
support
your
friends
and
neighbors.
With
lots
of
businesses
closed
permanently,
periodically,
or
forced
to
pivot
their
business
model
alto-
gether
due
to
Covid-19,
we
actually
created
a
few
specialty
pandemic
re-
lated
categories
for
this
year
and
we
got
some
great
responses
from
you.
Tara
Fatemi
Walker
did
some
great
stories
about
these
specific
categories
including
who
had
some
of
the
most
creative
and
successful
newly
created
outdoor
spaces
as
well
as
which
organizations
stepped
up
during
these
challenging
times
and
supported
those
in
need.
As
we
hopefully
get
back
to
(the
new)
normal
in
these
coming
months,
I
implore
you
to
support
these
businesses
as
much
as
you
are
able.
They
are
what
make
Santa
Cruz
County
a
special,
unique,
and
supportive
place.
