Looking back on her life, July (Doña Croll, "EastEnders") reflects on
her experience as a slave on a sugar cane plantation during the final
days of slavery in Jamaica in Masterpiece's "The Long Song," pre-
miering Sunday, Jan. 31, on PBS. Flashbacks follow the story of young
July (Tamara Lawrance, "King Charles III," 2017) after she is taken by
plantation owner Caroline (Hayley Atwell, "Agent Carter") to be her
lady's maid.
