4A • WASHINGTON COUNTY POST • SUNDAY, JANUARY 24, 2021 GMTODAY.COM By Karen Stokes Special to Conley Media SLINGER — Eating the right foods can lead to a healthier life. Certified Natural Health Practitioner Claire Regall saw that there was a need for functional medicine and wellness and a growing interest in the com- munity to find more natural ways to be healthy. This interest led Regall in 2004 to launch the family operated Organic Market, 1040 E Commerce Blvd., Slinger. "We really started out as a health food store; we are now also an organic grocery store. We focus on produce and we specialize in gluten- free. We have the nicest gluten-free section in the greater Milwaukee area," said Regall. You can find a variety of natural and organic, hormone- and antibiotic- free, local meat including beef, bison, chicken, turkey, pork, salmon, and more. Also locally produced, organic milk and eggs are available at Organic Market. "In 2017, we added a coffee shop and juicery," Regall said. "We're really excited about the juicery because it's a good arm for health." Regall said the most popular products at the store are their supplements. They carry Solgar, Garden of Life, Gaia Herbs, Terry Naturally, Genesis Today, New Chapter and Solaray brands. "Customers know what they need; they know how to do research. We're the go-to location to find the supple- ments they need to take," she said. Education and experi- ence to help people is impor- tant to Regall. In 2009, she went back to school and received her CHNP. Her experience goes a long way with her customers. At Organic Market they spent a lot of time educating them- selves about health and over- all well-being. Due to the surge of COVID-19, in 2020 Organic Market took a proactive approach and moved to curbside pick-up to service their customers. Beginning Jan. 11, they are again open for in-person shopping. For more information call 262-644-1040 or go to organicmarket@hotmail.com. Organic Market hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. In January, Regall says people are ready to get healthy — they're done partying. This is their busi- est time of year and people are looking for juices.
